Why this shop

Two trades, one building, one invoice

Most of Kenosha’s shops pick a side. The mechanic will not touch your wiring; the stereo shop will not touch your engine. So you make two appointments, drop the car off twice, and hope the two jobs do not interfere with each other.

We kept both. The same people who diagnose electrical faults for a living are the ones running the power and ground for your amplifier — which matters, because a large share of “mystery” battery drains and dashboard warning lights we see started as somebody else’s audio install.

It also just makes life easier. Drop the car for brakes on Tuesday and pick it up with the remote starter fitted too.

Local knowledge

Kenosha cars have Kenosha problems

Salt goes down on these roads from November through March, and sitting a mile from Lake Michigan means damp, salt-carrying air for much of the rest of the year. The result is a specific pattern of failure we see constantly and shops in dry states almost never do.

Brake and fuel lines corroding from the outside. Exhaust hangers letting go. Suspension hardware and subframe bolts seizing solid. Electrical connectors going green. None of it shows up on the dashboard — it shows up when somebody puts the car on a lift and looks.

That is why an underbody inspection is part of a service here rather than an upsell. Finding a rusted brake line in the bay is a repair. Finding it on the road is a tow, at best.

How it works

No surprises on the invoice

The part of car repair people actually dread is not the cost. It is not knowing what the cost is going to be.

  1. Tell us what it is doing

Call, or send the details. Describe the noise, the light, the smell, when it happens. You do not need to know the technical term for it.

  2. We diagnose and quote

We find the actual fault rather than reading a code and guessing, then tell you what it costs, what is urgent, and what can safely wait.

  3. You decide, then we fix it

Nothing gets done until you say so. If we find something else along the way, you get a call before we touch it. The work is warrantied.

Common questions

If yours is not here, the full FAQ covers more — or just call and ask.

Where are you located in Kenosha?

5103 32nd Ave, Kenosha, WI 53144. Call 262-484-4454 before you head over, especially if you need something looked at the same day.

Do you do both mechanical repair and car audio?

Yes — that is the whole idea. Full-service auto repair and car audio installation in the same building, run by the same people. You do not need one shop for your brakes and another for your stereo.

Do you warranty your work?

We provide a warranty on the work we do. The specific terms depend on the repair and the parts used, so ask when you get your estimate and we will tell you exactly what is covered.

Can I get a loaner car?

Loaner vehicles are available to rent while yours is with us. Ask when you book, since availability varies day to day.

Will you tell me the price before you start?

Always. We diagnose it, quote it, and wait for you to say go. If we find something else once we are into the job, you get a call before anything more is done.
